The Annual San Mateo Harvest Festival 2014 Returns (Nov 14-16)

The San Mateo Harvest Festival Original Arts and Crafts Show is one of the largest indoor shows on the West Coast and each year it returns to San Mateo in our neighboring event center. The event gathers thousands of handmade arts and crafts, features high-energy performers, the KidZone, delicious foods and much more. Get ready for a weekend of non-stop holiday shopping, entertainment and local family fun, just a short walk from our doorstep at Bay Meadows.

Hillsdale Mall

The whole family will enjoy the interactive KidZone Craft Activities hosted by the Hillsdale Shopping Center, where children can participate in hands-on crafts like gingerbread cookie decorating from Gingerbread-on-the-go and Nature of Art for Kids. Mark your calendars in advance for Sat., Nov. 1st from 12pm-2pm and give the kids a sneak peek at the Kidzone activities planned by stopping by NORDSTROM Court and join in hands-on crafting. Parents can pick up discount coupons and register to win a free family-pack of tickets to the Festival. Plus, New York Life’s Child ID Program will be hosting free digital fingerprinting with photos and vital contact information.

Throughout the day you can enjoy live stage entertainment with festival favorites Tom Rigney & Flambeau, Scotty and Trink and strolling performers Mama Claus & Eddie the Elf plus Fables of the West who wander the aisles to entertain as you shop. Be sure to catch culinary artist, Chef Ray L. Duey, and be spellbound by his unique talent as he turns the ordinary into something extraordinary. According to Chef Ray, any type of produce can be carved into astonishing decorations or arrangements.

During your shopping and crafting you can support the Peninsula Humane Society/SPCA by purchasing a Harvest Festival Shopping Bag for $1. This private non-profit organization accepts all animals in need of care. The PHS/SPCA will host a special mobile adoption on Saturday and Sunday.
