Fame By Frame Wows with Talent and Local Love.

We heart San Mateo! Thank you to all the talented photographers who participated in Bay Meadows’ Fame by Frame pop-up. Hundreds of folks celebrated #BayMeadowsLife and showed some hometown pride with local love notes pinned to the living wall.

Guests enjoyed music and interactive portrait sketches onsite by local artist, Jen Meyer Art. Silvi the Poet from The Poetry Store joined us to create impromptu poems, free-flowing words and allowing her muse to be each moment.

No party would be complete without the unexpected. In true pop-up art form, we had pop-up sculpture! Kids (large and small) were entranced by the giant inflatable decorations shaped like magical flowers that greeted guests at the Bay Meadow Welcome Center.

Mortar & Pestle served up some amazing cocktails that wowed the crowd. Miss it? Next time you are downtown order up a Bangalore Old Fashioned (Indian & Caribbean Rum, Garam Masala, Bitters) or Junkyard Heart (Vodka, Lime, Mint, Ginger Beer, Bitters). Psst! Word is that Bangalore Old Fashioned was a winner in its own right.

Drumroll please…. Big congrats to Grand Prize Winner Jeremie Meyer de Ville, a.k.a. @jeremiemv on Instagram. The public came out in droves to vote for their favorite image of the year captured at Bay Meadows and beyond, and Jeremie’s image of Downtown San Mateo’s Caltrain Station mural was a clear winner!
