Welcome Best of Burma to San Mateo

The flavors of Burma just got a little closer to home. We warmly welcome our new neighbor, Best of Burma to San Mateo! Located in Downtown San Mateo at 146 East 3rd Avenue, this new restaurant brings authentic Burmese cuisine for both lunch and dinner.

The Best of Burma menu is filled with traditional dishes prepared fresh with nothing but the best ingredients to ensure every dish is top notch and true to its Burmese roots. Lunch items are all served with steamed rice including combo items with soup and salads. The dinner menu encompasses scrumptious small bite options, soups, salads, noodles and more. All desserts, whether you choose sweet black sticky rice, fried bananas or coconut pudding are served with ice cream.

Tea Leaf Salad: With romaine lettuce, fried yellow beans, fried garlic, sesame seeds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, and dried shrimp (or vegetarian).

“I love the texture of this salad. So much crunch and nuts and seeds and flavor of tea (that they import from Burma). This was a very texturized and flavorful salad. Perfect if you like nuts and tea.” – Sophia Y.
