The 2016 Central Park Music Series Line Up

The City of San Mateo presents the 2016 Central Park Music Series every Thursday evening from 6-8pm running from June 23 through August 18. Showcasing the diverse Bay Area music scene, the Central Park Music Series is a signature summer event that brings you nine evenings of free live music including a wide array of bands from classic rock to salsa to country that music lovers of all ages can enjoy.

Enjoy an evening under the stars filled with live music this summer at Central Park, a San Mateo landmark with a beautiful gazebo, lighted tennis courts, a playground and baseball field just minutes away from your doorstep at Bay Meadows. Whether you’re looking to socialize with friends, get some much needed family time, or dance the night away, the San Mateo Central Park Series is sure to be a great time and deliver a memorable summer evening each week.

Here is a Band Line Up for the 2016 summer series:

June 23: Native Elements – Reggae
San Francisco powerhouse, Native Elements has been keeping the energetic, feel-good reggae tradition alive in the Bay Area for over 19 years.

June 30: Department of RockClassic Rock/Party
Hits from Journey, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Sammy Hagar, The Police, Styx, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink-182, Weezer, Stone Temple Pilots, and many more….

July 7: Urban Outlaws – Country
If you looking for live country band with great vocals and harmonies and super tight band, come check them out.

July 14: Mustache Harbor – Yacht Harbor
San Francisco’s newest and most happening party band.

July 21: Tito Garcia y su Orchestra Internationale – Latin Salsa
Salsa in the traditional format of the pioneers of this music and adds their own West Coast “tinge”.

July 28: Pop Fiction – Party Music
An 8-piece party band featuring unsurpassed talent, versatility, energy, and style- both musically and visually.

August 4: Mersey Beach – 60’s Tribute
They play the music of the 1960s British Invasion: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Yardbirds, The Who, The Animals, and many more.

August 11: Lost Dog Found – Swing/Rockability
They have set out to become their own musical genre with a distinctive modern sound.

August 18: Club 90 – Party Music
High-energy, choreographed dance party show featuring the pop hits from the 1960’s to today’s Top 40 and Dance Music.
