Grab Your Scarves, San Mateo on Ice Opens Nov 10

Glide into the holidays as the San Mateo ice rink kicks off the season in the Peninsula! Located in Central Park, the San Mateo on Ice outdoor rink features 9,000 square feet of real ice. Skaters will be able to skate in the sunshine during the day, and under the stars at night. Grab your scarves and lace up those skates, the rink will open to the public on Saturday, November 10th, 2018 and will be open daily (including holidays) through Sunday, January 13th, 2019 – visit here for the hours. Follow along on Facebook to learn about discount skating hours.

NEW! Skates aren’t required to have one of a kind fun at the rink, you can now zoom around the ice on the brand new ice bumper cars! Bump your friends and family and send them twirling hysterically around the ice. San Mateo on Ice is the only rink offering bumper cars on ice on the West Coast.

What’s a party without ice? You can have the coolest party in town at the rink for those winter birthdays or have the rink all to yourself with a private two hour ice session for up to 250 skaters. The rink is open to all ages, offering daily recreational ice skating, free skate rental included. San Mateo on Ice also offers parties, private ice time, special events, and skating lessons.

Tickets! General Admission Tickets are $16 each which includes all day skating, free skate rental, and a whole lot of fun! Same day re-entry is $5. All tickets must be purchased at the rink. You can rent an all-day locker for $3. Helmets are recommended but not required. The rink schedule is subject to change due to weather and special events, so be sure to bookmark this spot and check back here.

Yelper Ilya F.  says, “This is far and away my favorite outdoor ice skating rink on the Peninsula.”
