The Bay Meadows November Agenda

November is a month to reflect on what gives you gratitude and to share that gratitude with others. Fill your month with Friendsgiving celebrations and centerpiece workshops. Catch harvest festivals and holiday cookie classes. Lace up your skates and hit the ice, take in spectacular light exhibitions, and much, much more in our backyard along the San Francisco Peninsula!

Winter Fusion Dinner, 11/1-24. Join Cozymeal’s Redwood City team building activity “Winter Fusion Dinner” with Chef Teena and connect with your team during a 2.5-hour culinary experience and enjoy a 3-course meal together.

Yoga in the Bungalow, 11/2. The class is held in a national historic landmark building, the Redwood City Woman’s Club located in the lovely Mount Carmel neighborhood. This one-hour class is intended to increase your flexibility, strength and balance – held each Tuesday in November.

DIY Pumpkin Succulent Decorating Workshop at the San Mateo Event Center next to Bay Meadows, 11/6. Get ready for the holidays and learn how to make beautiful succulent centerpieces with pumpkins from 10am to 12 noon. Pumpkins, moss, succulents, plant material and all the tools you need are provided. Participants will leave with a beautiful piece of living art.

Pies & Pie Dough with San Mateo’s Baking Arts, 11/6. Students will make and bake a mini double crust fresh fruit pie during class to take home. You’ll cover proper dough rolling, making, assembling and baking the pies. They’ll have freshly made pie for you to sample in class. Take your finished pie home with you to share.

Día de los Muertos, 11/7. The History Museum will join with Casa Circulo Cultural and the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library to present a Day of the Dead celebration. On Courthouse Square, just in front of the Museum, there will be music, traditional food and a processional.

Holiday Cookie Tray Class with San Mateo’s Baking Arts, 11/7. In class students will make almond raspberry linzer cookies and an assortment of Viennese hand-piped butter cookies, served dipped, sandwiched and sprinkled. This is from scratch baking at its best. Take your finished cookies home with you at the end of class.

Cheese and Charcuterie Board Workshop, 11/9-24. Book a unique team building event centered around sharing an incredible meal together! Join Cozymeal’s San Carlos team building activity “Cheese and Charcuterie Board Workshop” with Chef Teena and connect with your team during a 2.5-hour culinary experience and enjoy a 7-course meal together.

Andreotti Family Farms FriendsGiving, 11/13-14. This Farm to Table luncheon in the famous Half Moon Bay The Sunflower Field is a fundraiser to rebuild the 150-year-old barn. Enjoy an elegant lunch featuring produce from the farm and farm to table libations like a Spiced Pumpkin Apple Cider and Pumpkin Lemonade.

San Mateo on Ice, 11/13-1/9. Lace up those skates and enjoy a fun winter outdoor skating experience. Located in Central Park, the outdoor ice rink features 11,000 square feet of REAL ice. Skaters will be able to skate in the sunshine during the day and under the stars at night.

San Mateo Harvest Festival, 11/12-14. Shoppers can browse a wide array of unique items, including original art, jewelry, pottery, clothing, specialty foods, home décor and much more. Throughout the weekend there is also strolling entertainment, delicious festival foods, and artist demonstrations.

Kid’s Carnival 2021 at Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, 11/14. Join the excitement with special activities just for kids!  Aircraft checkouts, cockpit exploration, glider and helicopter construction and more are just some of the activities available at each Kids’ Carnival.

Fall Charcuterie and Cheese Board Workshop, 11/17. Learn how to build an amazing charcuterie and cheese board that will WOW your family and turn you into the hostess with the mostess in Redwood City.

Build A Holiday Chocolate House at SWEET55 Swiss Chocolates and Confections in Half Moon Bay, 11/19. Get in the holiday mood with chocolate! Create the chocolate house of your sweetest dreams and take home a handy gift box at the end of class. Make it the perfect present for a loved one…or spoil yourself. Included in the class is a snack on the patio with goodies from the kitchen.

IlluminOdyssey, 11/19-1/9. Electrify your child’s imagination at the San Mateo based CuriOdyssey’s spectacular light exhibition. This extraordinary exhibition ignites kids imagination with brilliant laser art, gleaming hands-on exhibits and a lustrous forest of radiant sculptures.

ART on the Square’s 6th Annual Holiday Show in the San Mateo County History Museum, 11/20. You’ll find something for everyone on your list from the amazing local artists selling their creations under the museum’s spectacular stained glass dome.

Lego Camp at Kidizens in Los Altos, 11/22-24. Kidizens is hosting LEGO city building camps during school holidays this fall. Spend your time off from school building the city of your dreams with your friends.

Goat Yoga at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay, 11/28. Whether you’re an experienced yogi or just looking for your next big adventure, yoga with goats provides a truly joyful and unique experience. Grab your yoga mat and meet at the barn at Lemos Farm for 45-mins of yoga with goats.
