April 2, BollyX Dance Fitness Classes in San Mateo. Come join us at Motion Arts Center and let the music move you.

April 2, Organic Spring/Summer Vegetable Gardening. This class at the San Mateo Arboretum will cover what is possible to grow and harvest in spring and summer in our area, as well as how to care for your spring/summer garden.

April 3, Edible Container Gardening. Register for some Edible Container Gardening with the San Mateo Arboretum Society!

April 3, Bachata Dance Classes in San Mateo. Enjoy learning to dance bachata in a very fun and friendly atmosphere in San Mateo.

April 7,  First Friday Nights. Swing into the weekend with music, science, animals and fun! On the first Friday of every month, from 5 pm until 8 pm, where parents and kids celebrate together at CuriOdyssey.

April 7, Free First Friday. Admission is free at the SMC History Museum in Redwood City. Online, preschoolers can listen to a story and make a craft. Docents will also lead an online tour of the Museum.

April 8, Easter Bunny by Helicopter. Join the Easter Eggstravaganza from 10am-12pm. The bunny arrives by personal helicopter at 11am at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.

April 8, Egg Adventure Hunt. Bring your own basket to Twin Pines Park in Belmont for an egg hunt.

April 9, Neapolitan Style Pizza. A new class from San Mateo’s Baking Arts featuring classic pizza made with hand stretched dough in the Neapolitan style.

April 14, Spent Grain Baking Class at Devil’s Canyon Brewery. Grainbakers offers small baking classes in San Carlos at your favorite brewery allowing you to unwind, learn a skill and take in the brewery experience.

April 15, Bay Meadows Persimmon Plot Residents are treated to a special garden class with our partners at Start Organic demonstrating basic garden setup, planting advice, and plant spacing.  Each participant in the garden will receive a subscription to our Home Gardening Series, classes throughout the year to coach new gardeners through a successful harvest.  Following along with these classes will give Bay Meadows garden participants the timely information they need to grow the best produce ever.

April 16, Wild Flower Arrangement Class. Make a wildflower arrangement to celebrate spring in San Mateo.

April 16, 7th Annual Airport Runway Run at San Carlos Airport. Express your need for speed with a unique 2K/5K/10K event that’s fun and healthy for the whole family at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.

April 16, Eggstravaganza. Join us for the 46th Annual Eggstravaganza event in San Mateo’s Central Park. Enjoy a family-fun spring-themed event filled with entertainment, egg hunts, photo opportunities, and more.

April 18, Kokedama Workshop. Decorate your space and learn how to make a moss wrapped plant display in this relaxing workshop in San Mateo.

April 22, Earth Day 2023 Event. Earth Day Event will be held at City Hall in Twin Pines Park in Belmont.

April 23, Keep Calm & Carry Yarn: Knitting Meetup. Whether you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, or any other stitching – enjoy some dedicated project time, help from other crafters at this San Mateo Meetup.

April 29, Jazz Under The Stars. College of San Mateo astronomers and volunteers will be your guides to the night sky, teaching you about constellations, stars, planets, science, and mythology on the Rooftop Observatory.

April 30, San Mateo Garden Center Plant Sale & Craft Fair. Plant sales, garden clubs, shopping. Enjoy live music while exploring the gardens!

Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities.

 

Experience Midurban life. Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space to enjoy all-year long.
