The Bay Meadows June Agenda

Let us welcome June and the new summer season! We’ve rounded up an agenda packed with fun including summer music concerts, the county fair, dragon boat races, biking, air shows, car shows and much, much more at Bay Meadows and beyond. June 1, Flower Arranging Workshop. A beautiful box of blooms and spectacular vase await you! Learn to arrange flowers with owner of Matilda’s Bloombox in San Carlos.

June 2, Free First Friday. Admission is free at the SMC History Museum in Redwood City. Online, preschoolers can listen to a story and make a craft. Docents will also lead an online tour of the Museum.

June 2, First Friday Nights. Swing into the weekend with music, science, animals and fun! On the first Friday of every month, from 5 pm until 8 pm, where parents and kids celebrate together at San Mateo’s CuriOdyssey.

June 3, Free Bike Repair Day. Bike in need of a repair or tune-up? Stop along the Bay Trail in San Mateo, get your bike fixed and talk Bay Trail equitable access with SVBC.

June 3, Redwood City Park Tour ending at Pub in the Park. Join friendly folks from SVBC Redwood City local team for a ride by city parks and social at Pub in the Park.

June 3-11, San Mateo County Fair. Enjoy the best of the past and be amazed as it’s infused with exciting new ideas to create an unforgettable experience.

June 4, Magical Music and Motion Concert – John Henry’s Farm. Enjoy Porch Stomping Music with John Henry’s Farm Band as they bring country folk blues & original tunes to Redwood City.

June 4, Popular Houseplants. The San Mateo Master Gardener shares the design decision process along the way and what she has learned about the various native plant’s needs.

June 5, Pilates Mat Classes. Enjoy Pilates fun at the Motion Arts Center in downtown San Mateo. These Pilates Mat classes are a fantastic way to improve your overall strength, flexibility, and balance.

June 7, Biscuits and Scones at Baking Arts. Every student in this downtown San Mateo class will make their own batch of biscuit dough from scratch in class.

June 10, Downtown Redwood City Car Show. Join the Official Downtown Redwood City Car Show held at the Courthouse Square in Downtown Redwood City.

June 10, Jazz on the Hill 2023. Join College of San Mateo for live jazz with a great lineup of musicians playing many genres of jazz, from straight-ahead blues to Latin and more.

June 10, 17, 24  College of San Mateo Farmers’ Market. Shop seasonally and fresh each Saturday from 9am to 1pm (year-round) at San Mateo’s largest farmer’s market located at 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard. Summer produce is here! Keep an eye out for peaches, cherries, apricots, summer squash, onions, leafy greens, local honey, citrus, and so much more!

June 11, ASPE SF Dragon Boat Race. New to dragon boat? This is your chance! Join the ASPE SF boat for a day of paddling, food and music in Foster City.

June 16-18, Disney Pixar Elemental Experience Exhibit. Experience an all-ages interactive exhibit based on Disney Pixar’s new animated film Elemental in Macy’s Center Court at Hillsdale Shopping Center.

June 17, Biggest Little Air Show. Join the festivities as the Biggest Little Air Show celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Hiller Aviation Museum, presented by PEAXY in San Carlos.

June 22-August 10, Central Park Music Series. Central Park Music Series is a signature summer event that brings you eight evenings of free live music every Thursday evening in San Mateo.

June 24, Bark n’ Brewfest. Bring your four-legged friends for a fun filled afternoon in Burlingame where local craft breweries, cider makers, and a few artisan wineries will be pouring samples.

June 24-25, Brick Fest Live. See the most life-size models made from tens of thousands of bricks built to unlock your imagination at our neighboring San Mateo County Event Center.

June 25, Kids Carnival. Aircraft checkouts, cockpit exploration, glider and helicopter construction and more are just some of the activities available at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.

June 30-July 2, FoodieLand Night Market. Inspired by the famous open-air night markets of Asia, FoodieLand Night Market is a family-friendly outdoor food festival coming to our neighborhood at the SM County Events Center that you won’t want to miss.

Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities.

Experience Midurban life. Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space to enjoy all-year long. Whether it’s growing your own vegetables in an organic community garden, playing a game of pick-up basketball after work, team building over bocce in the beer garden, picnicking with family on warm summer nights or with a run around the park, there’s no shortage of green space to explore.
