The Bay Meadows November Agenda

November brings a month of fall harvest and thankful hearts into the Bay Meadows neighborhood. There’s no better time to gather with friends around the firepits in the beer garden and catch a game of bocce or head to the adjacent tables for some table tennis. We’ve rounded up an agenda packed with fun including circus acts, Dia de los Muertos celebrations, craft fairs, cookie decorating, holiday wreath workshops, and much, much more at Bay Meadows and beyond. When you live just steps from Caltrain it’s easy to get from here to ‘there’ car-free! Intro to Clay 2023. Start your month off with a Beginner 6 Week Intro to Wheel Throwing at ClayRoom in San Mateo at Bay Meadows!  A great starting place for an intense 6-week course where students are introduced to throwing on the wheel, trimming work, surface design techniques, glazing, and a week of hand-building that can be used to incorporate into wheelwork or on its own.

November 1, Pilates in the North Block at Hillsdale is happening. Get ready to stretch, strengthen, and find balance with Jordan, Cyclebar San Mateo’s experienced Pilates instructor. Class will take place on the grass in front of Lululemon in the North Block. Please bring a mat, water, and a towel. (Limited number of complimentary mats provided).

November 1-26, Zoppé Italian Family Circus. The Zoppé Italian Family Circus returns to Redwood City for the 16th year, and features a brand new theme: Carnavale di Venezia.

November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, Boardgames + Tea Time. Want to join a local group and make new pals? Calling all 20s and 30-somethings, every Thursday 6pm-9pm, neighbors are meeting up at nearby Hillsdale to play boardgames and drink some tea at Share Tea (closes at 7pm). 60 31st Ave.

November 3, First Friday Nights. Celebrate the lives of zoo residents no longer with us at our animal ofrenda, part of our Dia de los Muertos activities. On the first Friday of every month parents and kids celebrate together at CuriOdyssey in San Mateo.

November 4, 11, 18 and 25, Shop Saturdays at College of San Mateo Farmers’ Market. Peruse seasonal finds every Saturday from 9am to 1pm (year-round) at San Mateo’s largest farmer’s market located at 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard. Bring a big shopping bag or two because the farmers’ tables are filled apples, grapes, leafy greens, and winter squash.

November 4, Plant Expo 2023. Are you a plant enthusiast looking to enhance indoor or outdoor spaces with beautiful greenery? Look no further than the Plant Expo in San Mateo.

November 4, Kettlebell 301: SFG Ready Workshop. Head to San Carlos for a 2-hrs of Hard Style Pullups and Abs or a 4-hr dive into double and single KB skills required for SFG I. Can’t decide? Do both!

November 4, San Mateo Cat Extravaganza & Rescue Awareness Event. Cat lovers unite for a family furr-iendly weekend at the San Mateo County Event Center.

November 5, Dia de los Muertos. Casa Círculo Cultural will bring a Mayan-style Day of the Dead celebration to Redwood City.

November 5, Yoga with Jen at Hillsdale. Get ready to stretch, breathe, and find your inner zen in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, Jen from Cyclebar San Mateo will guide you through a series of poses and flows that will leave you feeling refreshed and energized.

November 6, Already Clocked Out Comedy. Get ready to unwind and enjoy some hilarious stand-up performances that will leave you in stitches at Blue Oak Brewing Company in San Carlos.

November 9, Visit Anchorage Roadshow. Join Visit Anchorage, their Alaska partners, and other travel professionals at Pinstripes in San Mateo for a night of food, bowling, training and fun.

November 10, San Mateo on Ice. The rink returns to downtown San Mateo on Friday, November 10th! Grab your skates to enjoy the largest seasonal outdoor rink in the Bay Area, located in Central Park San Mateo!

November 10-12, San Mateo Harvest Festival. Enjoy an art and craft show at the San Mateo Event Center. The art show is the largest indoor art & craft shows on the West Coast.

November 11, 15, 18, 22, 25 and 29, Bay Meadows San Mateo Run Club with Basecamp. Two weekly runs offered on Wednesday nights at 6pm (5:30pm open house at the new Basecamp studio beforehand) and Saturday mornings at 8am. Meet at 3050 S. Delaware in front of Basecamp San Mateo to begin a 3 mile loop and mingle with neighbors who value a fit life.

November 11, Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop. Bring life to your space and make this holiday even more special with your own handcrafted Thanksgiving Centerpiece in San Mateo.

November 12, Puzzle Swap at Bay Meadows Park 10am-12pm. Save the date for another #sanmateopuzzleswap in Bay Meadows Park! November 29-30, Holidays at Filoli: Flora Party- Holiday Wreaths. Enjoy a festive afternoon with friends and flora at Filoli in Woodside.

Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities.

Experience Midurban life. Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space to enjoy all-year long.
