Savor the Season: Flavors of the Peninsula Returns This Spring
Spring on the Peninsula brings longer days, fresh flavors, and a reason to explore—and this year, it all comes together with Flavors of the Peninsula. From April 23 through May 3, more than 100 restaurants across the region will offer curated prix-fixe menus, inviting locals and visitors alike to experience the incredible diversity of the Peninsula’s dining scene. From coastal seafood to globally inspired cuisine, it’s a celebration of flavor designed to be explored one delicious stop at a time.
For those living at Bay Meadows, the experience couldn’t be more convenient. Perfectly positioned in the heart of the San Francisco Peninsula, the neighborhood offers easy access to participating restaurants in every direction, whether by car, bike, or Caltrain. It’s the ideal opportunity to turn a casual evening into a spontaneous date night, a midweek dinner with friends, or a weekend outing that turns into a full culinary adventure. Some San Mateo restaurants participating this year are Pinstripes at Hillsdale Shopping Center, Pausa Bar & Cookery and Pacific Catch in downtown San Mateo.
Mark your calendar for April 23–May 3 and get ready to taste your way across the Peninsula.
The event also introduces a seamless way to plan it all. By signing up for the Bandwango Pass, guests can unlock an interactive mobile experience featuring restaurant menus, special offers, and curated stops throughout the 10-day event. It’s a simple, flexible way to map out your must-visit spots or discover something new along the way, whether that’s a hidden neighborhood gem or a buzzworthy dining destination.
Back at Bay Meadows, the spirit of the event continues right at home. Residents can start a culinary adventure or end their evenings with a toast close by with favorites like The Breakfast Club at Midtown San Mateo, Blue Bottle Café, Sidewalk Juice San Mateo, Bahche Mezzehouse & Wine Bar, plus Fieldwork Brewing Company San Mateo in Town Square before planning to explore more of the Peninsula’s vibrant food culture. Living here means being connected not just to great places, but to experiences that celebrate community, creativity, and connection.
