Kick off the holiday season and celebrate Holiday Traditions at Filoli from Friday, November 25 through Saturday, December 3. This is a very special fundraising event that kicks off the holiday season every year. 2016 celebrates “100 Years of Holidays”. Guests shop in the historic House while listening to holiday music and relax in Filoli’s charming setting while they enjoy lunch or supper. Come and experience the magical warmth of Holiday Traditions.

Love Apple Farms invites you to get crafty this season. Learn how to create Succulent Wreaths at this Scott’s Valley workshop on November 19th or hone your home cook skills while learning to make three basic soft cheeses which are easy to recreate at home – chévre, feta and mozzarella. A hands-on class offered on Nov 13th and Dec 17th!
Wine and Wreaths? Yes! Enjoy the perfect friends-night-out activity for the holiday season at the San Francisco Botanical Garden on December 2nd! Get in the holiday spirit and create a beautiful holiday wreath with unique materials collected from the garden. Watch local floral designer, Baylor Chapman – Founder and Principal Designer of Lila B. Design, demonstrate simple techniques to make abundant and creative wreathes, and then use your imagination to create your own! Wreath base, wire, greenery are included; please bring your own clippers, scissors and any ornaments or ribbon to enhance your botanical creation. Wreath Making Workshop at the San Mateo Arboretum on Dec 4th at 9:15am and 11am (1 hour each). Bring your imagination, pruning shears and gloves. By using colorful greens and cuttings from the San Mateo Central Park, you will be able to create a one-of-a-kind beautiful wreath. Greens, frame and ribbon will be supplied.
