Eggcellent Egg Hunts on the Peninsula
Spring is here and with it comes warmer weather and a host of local eggcellent events, including egg hunts, parades and more. The peninsula plays host to a number of Easter events so get ready to grab your basket and get hunting!
First and foremost is the City of San Mateo’s 41st Easter Eggstravaganza on March 31. This springtime community event and egg hunt will be attended by hundreds of excited children and families eagerly searching for eggs in beautiful Central Park. Attendees will enjoy a host of activities including pancake breakfast, eggs hunts puppet art theater, community parade, magician Perry Yan, food trucks and more. A truly eventful way to spend your day with family, friends and others attending the festivities. Easter Bunny and Egg Hunt in Belmont on April 1, 10am. Bring your basket, camera and keep your eyes open for the Bunny at Twin Pine Meadows with lots of fun with eggs, candy and more.
See the Easter Bunny Arrive by Helicopter at the Hiller Aviation Museum on March 31 from 10 am – 1pm. The Bunny arrives by personal helicopter at 11 am. Get an Easter Egg straight from the Bunny and enjoy face painting, a bounce house and slide, and an amazing model train display.
Easter Egg Hunt at Holbrook-Palmer Park in Atherton on March 31 from 9:30am-12pm. Join the fun as children 10 and under hunt for thousands of treat filled eggs and meet the Easter Bunny!
Burgess Park Egg Hunt on March 31 from 10am-12pm. Each year the Bunny visits the Burgess Park with toys and candy filled eggs. The festivities start with bounce houses, crafts, and pictures with the Bunny. Be sure not to miss photos opportunities with the fire trucks and maybe take a ride on “Old Tom”, an antique fire engine.
Kelly Park Egg Hunt on March 31 from 10am-12pm. The Egg Hunt at Kelly Park features crafts, magic show, music, and photo opportunities with the Bunny! Bring the family and enjoy a fun-filled morning as the kids scramble for plastic eggs filled with goodies.
Get a hop on Easter at the Gamble Garden Easter Egg Hunt on March 25. Bring the family and enjoy an Easter Egg hunt in the beautiful garden. Attendees can meet more than 20 animals at the petting zoo, take pictures with the Easter Bunny and participate in arts & crafts.
