Update! Breakfast at Kiki’s? Nini’s has sold and according to reports from San Mateo Business Journal, Kiki’s is set to open in its place. With brother and sister, Le Cordon Bleu trained chefs, at the helm, Jacob and Sarah Marotta purchased the building and are preparing to welcome locals to a neighborhood favorite once again. You can expect coffee and tea plus pastry items by local favorite Beurre to go, breakfast and lunch.

You can find Nini’s Coffee Shop at 1000 N Idaho Street in San Mateo. They are open at 6:30am Monday through Friday; and 7:30am Saturday and Sunday. Head out early, this local popular pad gets busy on the weekends with a line, but complimentary coffee and a waiting area with benches outside are a perfect way to start your morning catching up with friends or family.
