DIG IT: The Winter Vegetable Garden. Learn what can grow during our mild SF Bay Peninsula winters on September 3rd at Persimmon Park. The general public is invited to Bay Meadows community gardens for a FREE interactive class each month year-round.

Mix up your lunch hour with the Bay Area’s best street cuisine just next door at Hillsdale Shopping Center, weekly Friday to Sunday 11:30-2:30pm. Enjoy a good shop and a great lunch. Off The Grid rounds-up a great mix of food trucks, perfect for a fresh picnic in the parks at Bay Meadows!

See a Magic Lantern 3D Light Show in Downtown Redwood City on Courthouse Square. The show takes viewers through the celebration of water flow. September: 6, 13, 20, & 27.

Join Off the Grid every Wednesday evening at Leo J. Ryan Memorial Parks in Foster City and enjoy a variety of food trucks, live music, and great food. September: 7, 14, 21, & 28.

Shakespeare in the Park – Love’s Labour’s Lost. Shakespeare meets ‘90s pop rock in Central Park for two weekends. September: 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, & 18.

Enjoy an afternoon at the San Mateo Wine Walk on September 10th as merchants open their shops as Tasting Rooms so you can discover and experience Downtown San Mateo!

Scribble Me Happy in San Mateo invites you to explore your creative side with workshops on Sept 11, 18 and 23. Explore the world of watercolors with amazing artist, Priyanka Reddy, get felting and make your own jungle themed mobile or hand-craft cards! The holidays are going to be on us soon, so sharpen those crafty skills.

Bay Meadows welcomes San Mateo parents for some family-friendly shenanigans every Monday 3-5pm at Paddock Park. September: 12, 19, & 26.
