Calling all bacon and craft beer lovers! The San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce 4th Annual Bacon and Brew Festival returns to Central Park in Downtown San Mateo for two days on October 1-2 from 11am-5pm. This annual event features specialty bacon-themed food items from a variety of local vendors and food trucks, children’s entertainment, craft brews, restaurants, artisans and crafts and a VIP Beer Garden tent.

The San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce gave us the inside scoop on the upcoming Bacon & Brew Festival:

What can guests look forward to this year at the festival that hasn’t been offered in the past?

Root Beer Garden for the children, Home Depot bird house kits for children, Bloody Mary’s with Bacon, and a Costume Contest!

What’s been the most talked about bacon dish at the event?

Teriyaki Pork Belly, Steak and Bacon Tacos.

Behind the Scenes: Chamber team members recommend trying the bacon donuts, bacon mac & cheese balls, and chocolate covered bacon. Yum.

The live entertainment portion is always such a nice element for guests of Bacon and Brew. Who should we look forward to playing in 2016?

Men Behaving Loudly, Zebop, Tribal Blues Band, and SuperBad.

– General Admission: $10 with free pilsner glass for your brews

– Special Admission: $25 with free pilsner glass + 2 drink tickets
