#StrawberriesAreTheJam
We all know that May brings flowers but the Farmers Market at Bay Meadows heralds the arrival of a fruit favorite….STRAWBERRIES! There is nothing better than a freshly-grown strawberry and now you can dive in at Farmers Market Bay Meadows!
May is also National Strawberry Month and strawberries have become synonymous with spring; that’s why May is the perfect month to celebrate them. Fresh strawberries are the first fruit to ripen each spring, and can be used in a variety of delicious recipes from breakfast to dessert, and don’t forget drinks!
#StrawberriesAreTheJam is an INSTA collaboration of food bloggers, photographers and foodies alike organized and hosted by @joyosity @squaremealroundtable and @whatannieseating. There’s always a Farmers Market happening nearby on the San Francisco Peninsula. We love the College of San Mateo Farmers’ Market. Shop seasonally and fresh each Saturday from 9am to1pm (year-round) at San Mateo’s largest farmer’s market located at 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard. Bring a big shopping bag or two because the farmers’ tables are filled with the freshest seasonal fruits and vegetables to delightful gifts like cut flowers, local honey, jams and sauces, locally-made olive oil, and chocolates. Also find fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, cheeses, and seafood.
