The Bay Meadows March Agenda

Pack your March with a ton of fun. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by skydiving with a leprechaun or dive into a slime workshop, try crafting up a charcuterie board, learn to properly pipe a cupcake and much, much more at Bay Meadows and beyond. Sundays in March = Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities including jogging, bicycling, hiking, roller-skating, and walking.

March 1, Yoga in the Bungalow – Redwood City. This one-hour class is intended to increase your flexibility, strength, and balance.

March 4, Free First Friday at the San Mateo County History Museum. Online, preschoolers can listen to a story and make a craft. Docents will also lead an online tour of the Museum for adults.

March 6, Glider Discovery Day. Discover the world of flight in San Carlos. Learn the names of the different parts of the airplane, then join in the fun the help build a full-size Penguin airplane!

March 6, Bike Skills 101 — Fundamental Bike Handling Skills. This 4-hour co-ed clinic in Redwood City is where they teach the old dogs new tricks and the newbies the fundamentals.

March 7, Cheese and Charcuterie Board Workshop. Join Cozymeal’s team building activity “Cheese and Charcuterie Board Workshop” with Chef Teena in San Carlos.

March 12, St. Patty’s Day Slime Creation Workshop. Head to Hillsdale for a fun St. Patty’s Day Slime Creation Workshop hosted by The Slime Kitchen. Plus, fun St. Patty’s day treats!

March 13, Skydiving Leaping Leprechaun. The Luck ‘o the Irish meets the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos for a special aerial celebration in honor of St. Patrick himself.

March 18, International Gem & Jewelry Show. Forget retail, shop directly from designers, wholesalers and manufacturers for the largest selection at the lowest prices at the San Mateo County Event Center.

March 19, QUEEN NATION at The Fox Theatre. QUEEN NATION is the West Coast’s longest running, most authentic re-creation of a Vintage Queen concert in Redwood City.

March 20, Buttercream Flower Cupcakes at Baking Arts in downtown San Mateo. An introductory class on buttercream piping flowers, blossoms and leaves. Take your finished cupcakes home with you at the end of class.

March 26, Coyote Point Habitat Restoration Volunteer Event. Help San Mateo County restore habitat at Coyote Point by removing invasive weeds!

March 27, Taste of Brazil: Samba Workshop. Take class in person at KG Fitness in San Mateo. Learn samba steps in this high energy dance workshop. Party Carnaval Style. Dress up!!
