Taste Summer in Town Square
Summer has arrived at Bay Meadows and so has al fresco dining on fresh menu items from your Town Square favorites. Gather with friends in the open-air at Fieldwork Brewing’s San Mateo Beer Garden and bring your four-legged pal along. Dine on Slices sun-filled patio and enjoy live music. Order the Spiced NOLA from Blue Bottle and stroll through the gardens. Maybe it’s a milkshake from Tin Pot Creamery and a game of table tennis that you’ve been craving. Pick up some picnic items from ROAM Artisan Burgers where you’ll find chilled Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho, the Summertime Burger and specialty seasonal salads made with the freshest organic, locally sourced ingredients.
Start planning your picnics! San Mateo’s 300+ days of sunshine are best enjoyed outdoors – in Bay Meadows’ network of parks, trails, community garden, and 15-acres of open space. Take advantage of several outdoor spaces along Delaware Street offering bocce, fitness, ping pong and more, or enjoy proximal access to Whole Foods Market, Hillsdale Shopping Center and San Mateo’s thriving downtown.

NEW to the menu is the Fried Chicken Sandwich, created with fresh house-made Serrano green chili sauce, topped with cucumber curls, watermelon radish and finished with a cool Herb Ranch dressing. You can also get it Gluten Free with a lettuce wrap or Gluten Free bun.
When it’s time to “wine-down”, go for the new Passion Fruit Wine Spritzer! Both bright and tart, this refreshing fruity cocktail is made with Sauvignon Blanc, passion fruit and lime – perfectly pairing with any summer dish.
The Summertime Burger works well with any patty of your choosing! Enjoy a perfect pairing of fresh mozzarella cheese, pumpkin seed pesto, balsamic reduction, arugula greens and heirloom tomatoes. Turnip the beet with the veggie burger or select 100% grass-fed beef. As always you have your choice of the Pacific Coast Bakery Traditional Sesame Bun, Whole Grain Bun, Gluten-free Bun* (Add $1.00), or enjoying it in a lettuce wrap!
Add any of the following for an additional fee: Gruyère, Caramelized Onions, Fontina, Aged White Cheddar, Pepper Jack, Swiss, Blue Cheese, Oil & Vinegar Slaw, Watercress or Cremini Mushrooms, an Organic Pasture Raised Egg, Truffle Parmesan Fries, Applewood Smoked Bacon or Avocado.
Add a Piña Colada milkshake or Passion Fruit artisan soda and don’t forget the Garlic Parmesan fries.

Slices has been lining up live music for alfresco afternoons with local music! Watch for who will be popping up next to join us on the patio.

The Fresh Veggie Pizza is made with house red sauce, mozzarella, and a selection of mushrooms, red & green peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes & Sicilian olives or the Margherita, a spin on the Neapolitan classic with creamy whole milk mozzarella, house-made red sauce, fresh basil & marinated cherry tomatoes. There’s also a selection of salads like the Chicken Caesar Salad made with house smoked chicken, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, Parmesan, croutons & Caesar dressing or an Italian Chopped Mixed Salad, made with mixed greens, salami, turkey, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, pepperoncini, Swiss cheese & balsamic dressing.

Fieldwork Brewing at Bay Meadows is “hopping” into summer with its ever-changing tap list of fresh releases to enjoy by sampler flight or beer by the glass. Check out the Staff Favorites here. It’s never been a better time to get to 3030 South Delaware Street and sample the sour – Fog Ripper – or Eastside Motel Double IPA. Find all of your favorite Crowlers to-go for those summer BBQs or stay for a while in the beer garden and play a game of bocce.
The Fieldwork Brewing Culinary Director, Jeffrey Amber, (@sorryiwasntlistening) has added some delicious and fun new items to the San Mateo Taproom and Beer Garden experience. The Bahn Works sandwich is created with tofu in a Korean BBQ marinade and topped with tomato, cucumber, shaved cabbage, and Miso aioli. The Take Five sandwich is created with Beer-braised chicken and topped with bacon, apple, romaine, smoked cheddar, and Calabrian chili aioli. Enjoy fresh hummus, soft pretzels with a side of blended mustard and funky Chex Yer Head Mix with fermented honey and magic spice, you’re sure to enjoy these new bites with your beer!
Raspberry Rose Tart, Strawberry Cream Pie and Lavender Custard with Wild Blueberries have made their way to the summer menu at Tin Pot Creamery in Town Square at Bay Meadows. If you haven’t already – Join The Test Kitchen!
The NEW Spiced NOLA—a summer spin on the Blue Bottle iconic New Orleans-Style Iced Coffee. The Ethiopian clove, cinnamon bark, and black cardamom from Brundo Spice Company transform this creamy chicory cold-brewed classic into an entirely new drink: bright and soft, with a spicy florality. This summer treat is only around for a limited time.
