Bay Meadows June Agenda
Get ready to enjoy a full month of activities in the Bay Meadows neighborhood and beyond. We’ve rounded up an agenda packed with fun runs and farmers’ markets, live music concerts, the San Mateo County Fair, movies in the park, summer constellations, the San Mateo Pride Celebration and much, much more. June 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29, Bay Meadows Run Club with Basecamp San Mateo. Join this free fun run Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm and Saturday mornings at 8am. Meet at 3050 S. Delaware just beneath Survey Monkey’s HQ for a 2-, 3-, 4- or 6-mile loop (something for everyone) to get moving. Run, jog, or walk. Happening weekly – rain or shine. All paces and people are welcomed. Members often gather in Town Square for a Blue Bottle coffee or at Fieldwork Brewing after each run. Plus, there’s no fee! You heard right – membership is not required.
June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, College of San Mateo Farmers’ Market. Shop seasonally and fresh each Saturday from 9am to 1pm (year-round) at San Mateo’s largest farmer’s market located at 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard. Bring a big shopping bag or two because the farmers’ tables are filled with the freshest spring fruits and vegetables like berries and spring greens to delightful gifts like cut flowers, local honey, jams and sauces, locally-made olive oil, and chocolates. Also find fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, cheeses, and seafood. Spring’s best is here! Keep an eye out for this Seasonal Highlight: Blueberries!
June 1-9, San Mateo County Fair. The award-winning San Mateo County Fair is the Peninsula’s premier community event for family fun and entertainment. Thrilling carnival rides, delicious fair food, musical vibes and more – all lined up to create an epic experience for you and your family.

June 2, Starlab Planetarium at Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos. Discover the brightest constellations visible and the stars used by pilots, sailors and others to navigate across vast and featureless oceans.
June 4, The monthly Fieldwork Brewing San Mateo Pizza Party returns Tuesday, June 4 at 5pm! Every first Tuesday of the month, @fieldworkbrewing_sanmateo is throwing a pizza party in the Bay Meadows Beer Garden- $13, all you can eat pizza, 5-8pm or until the pizza is gone. Be there or be square (like the Detroit-style all-you-can-eat pizza)
June 4, Pride Flag Raising. Join Belmont in front of City Hall for their annual Pride Flag raising event. Hear speeches by Dr. C. Dale Young and David Adler and poetry readings by Belmont Poet Laureate Monica Korde.
June 4, lululemon Hillsdale Run Club. Join the Run Club at lululemon Hillsdale in San Mateo for a fun and energetic in-person running/walking event.
June 5, Trivia Night @ Blue Oak Brewing Co. Gather your friends and head over to San Carlos to enjoy a night of brain-teasing questions, delicious craft beers, and great company.
June thru August 29, Movies on the Square. Enjoy Downtown Redwood City on Courthouse Square by bringing the family out to a FREE movie!
June 7, First Friday. The San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City will be open without admission fees the first Friday of every month as part of its continuing “FREE First Fridays” program.
June 7, Vessel Embellishment with Punch. Join Clayroom San Mateo for a one day decorative workshop led by renowned potter and sculptor Chanakarn Semachai (a.k.a. Punch), all the way from Thailand.
June 8, Pride Celebration. San Mateo County’s 12th Annual Pride Celebration at Central Park in San Mateo is a space to champion inclusion and wellness for LGBTQIA+ folks and allies in our county.
June 8, Kokedama Workshop. Uplift your space and learn how to make a moss wrapped plant display in this San Mateo class.
June 8-9, Flying Colors. Oceánica Ballet soars in a showcase of dances with themes of flight and 1940’s Americana at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.

June 15, The Biggest Little Air Show. The exciting Sukhoi West Demo Team is returning to headline BLAS at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.
June 16, 23 + 30, Summer Concert Series. The Belmont Park Boosters produces a free family-friendly Summer Concert Series in beautiful Twin Pines Park in Belmont that runs for 7 consecutive Sundays, from 1-4pm.
June 19, Grapes and Giggles Juneteenth. See comedians featured on late-night TV, Comedy Central, SF Sketchfest, Bay Area Festivals and more at the Domenico Winery in San Carlos.
June 19 thru August 21, Music in the Park. Families and friends will enjoy our free outdoor concert series in the relaxing setting of beautiful Stafford Park in Redwood City.
June 20 thru August 8, Central Park Music Series. This signature summer event brings music lovers free live music every Thursday evening. Enjoy a night of music, dancing, food, and fun in San Mateo.
June 22, Bair Island Walking Tour. Learn about this beautiful POST protected space, and join us for a 1-mile gentle/flat walking tour of Bair Island in Redwood City.
June 22, Redwood Symphony. Redwood Symphony brings to life some of the greatest music ever written in a way that only a live performance can, in Redwood City.
June 23, Bubble Bonanza at the Hiller in San Carlos. Bubble Bonanza harnesses the science of surface tension to create the most hands-on of all hands-on experiences – bubbles!
June 23, Coyote Point Recreation Area. Enjoy a leisurely stroll around Coyote Point in San Mateo. With the large variety of habitats at Coyote Point, you should see a number of species.
June 28, This June, a special class of YARRE with Amy is offered to ALL RESIDENTS of Bay Meadows (both homeowners + apartment residents are welcome)! Catch the Final Friday Yarre class in The Morgan Fitness Center at 2901 E. Kyne Street from 5-6pm. Bring a Yoga Mat and arrive at 4:45pm! Contact leasing@apartmentsbaymeadows.com for any questions. Trivia Night: Every other Monday at Hillsdale. Gather your pals every other Monday from 6-8pm for Trivia Night hosted by Sandcastle Entertainment! Fantastic food, beer and fun at The Refuge.
Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities. Check for holiday closures.
Experience Midurban life. Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space to enjoy all-year long. Whether it’s growing your own vegetables in an organic community garden, playing a game of pick-up basketball after work, team building over bocce in the beer garden, picnicking with family on warm summer nights or with a run around the park, there’s no shortage of green space to explore.
