Calling all San Francisco Peninsula photographers! Let’s see life through your lens. The Six Fifty Peninsula Photo Contest has opened for submissions now through April 17. Show off stunning travel imagery around the globe or encourage others to view the beauty of our California coast and share your love for San Mateo County with everyone to see. This exciting event invites Mid-Peninsula and San Francisco Peninsula photographers of all ages and skill levels who live, work, or attend school within the 650 area code to showcase their talent.

Categories
Participants can submit entries in six different visual categories:
• Abstract: Creative and non-traditional compositions.
• Landscapes: Beautiful scenes of nature or urban settings.
• Moments: Capturing candid and spontaneous events.
• Portraits: Artistic representations of individuals or groups.
• Travel: Images depicting travel experiences and destinations.
• Wildlife: Photographs of animals in their natural habitats.

Judging Criteria
Submitted photos will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
• Originality: Unique and innovative perspectives.
• Technical Excellence: Mastery of photographic skills.
• Composition: The arrangement of elements within the frame.
• Artistic Merit: The overall aesthetic quality.
• Overall Impact: The emotional and visual impression left on the viewer.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for local photographers to gain recognition and celebrate their passion for photography. Don’t miss out on the chance to share your vision and creativity with the Peninsula community. All winners will have their photos exhibited from September 13 to December 7.
