The season of giving is here, and at Bay Meadows, community means looking out for one another. This fall, The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows is proud to participate in Rise by Bozzuto’s annual food drive, joining team members and residents from Bozzuto communities to help fight hunger and support families facing food insecurity. Running now through Friday, November 13, 2026, the initiative invites Bay Meadows residents, neighbors, and local businesses to make a meaningful difference by donating nonperishable food items to benefit the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. It’s a simple way to turn the spirit of the holidays into meaningful action and demonstrate the power of neighbors helping neighbors.

Food insecurity affects individuals and families throughout the Bay Area, making community food drives an important way to support organizations working to keep nutritious food accessible. The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank recommends shelf-stable, nutrient-rich staples, with most-needed items including canned tuna and meat, peanut butter, soups, chili, beans, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, rice, pasta, and oats. When shopping, choose new, unopened items that are within their best-by dates and easy to store and distribute. Please avoid glass containers, perishable foods, and pet food. Whether you contribute a few cans of vegetables, a bag of rice, or a collection of pantry staples, every donation is an opportunity to support neighbors in need.

At Bay Meadows, connection extends beyond our parks, Town Square, and neighborhood gatherings. It’s reflected in the generosity of the people who live and work here. Through Rise by Bozzuto, The Apartment Collection team is joining a broader effort to bring communities together around a shared purpose. Residents of The Morgan, Hawthorne, The Russell, Quimby, and Field House, along with Bay Meadows friends and neighbors throughout San Mateo, are encouraged to participate. Giving back doesn’t have to be complicated: add a few extra items to your next grocery trip, invite a neighbor to contribute, or organize a small collection with coworkers. Together, these everyday gestures can help make a difference this holiday season.

Ready to give back? Donations are being accepted now through Friday, November 13, at The Russell Leasing Office, located at 3098 Kyne Street West, San Mateo, CA 94403. Simply bring your new, unopened, nonperishable food donations to the leasing office and help the Bay Meadows team support the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.
