Get Into The Gardens at Persimmon Park
In 2014, Bay Meadows celebrated the opening of a new community garden at Persimmon Park, featuring 99 -plot raised bed gardens right here in our San Mateo neighborhood! The Persimmon Park community garden grows beautiful friendships along with knockout edibles. Divided into outdoor rooms, it’s a one-stop shop for creating your own farm-to-table adventure. Here, you can grow your harvest in well-nourished planter boxes, toss your bounty on the grill and serve the feast to family and friends on the communal table. Plots are available by reservation to Bay Meadows homeowners and residents of The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows!

Persimmon Park is a place where the community can come together – to learn about growing their own food, to share stories, to experiment, and grow together. Persimmon Park is a place to grow community.
Pamela Conrad, Professional Landscape Architect (PLA) at CMG describes more special details about the park:
As a runner, in the mornings I would take advantage of the entire park network that stretches over the 80 acre site, traveling along the tree-lined streets and looping through each of the parks. The scale of the site is perfect for getting exercise in a pedestrian friendly environment. In the afternoon or evenings, I imagine strolling to Persimmon Park with my husband and two dogs, catching-up over the day’s events, and playing a bit of fetch on the lawn.
My favorite element at Persimmon Park is the trellis and the dining table combo – labored over by the talented designers Kevin Conger and Greg Barger of CMG.
