Bay Meadows

Hard to believe we’re midway through 2017! It’s a perfect time to step back, take a breath and recognize the many milestones achieved in our growing urban village this year.

Several hundred more residents have moved in. Workers are innovating in state-of-the art offices. Cool new businesses have joined our community. The last of the townhomes are about to sell out – all as construction continues. And the fun has only begun, with many more milestones to come this fall. For now, here’s a quick roundup of some highlights from 2017 thus far:

RETAIL
Fieldwork Brewing opened! Comal Restaurant, based in Berkeley, has designed a delicious food menu for Fieldwork Brewing’s Beer Garden at Bay Meadows. If you aren’t familiar with Comal, they have been on SF Chronicle‘s list of the Top 100 Restaurants in the Bay Area for 5 years running!

Also on the retail side, early in 2017, both Roam Artisan Burgers and LIFT Fitness signed on to join the retail community at Bay Meadows. And, of course, Tin Pot Creamery and Blue Bottle Coffee aim to open in late August/early September.

RESIDENTIAL
The Bay Meadows apartment collection was completed, with The Russell and Quimby opening this year. The two new gems added to this collection are already 85% leased.

  

On the for-sale side, Brightside townhomes sold out. Canterbury townhomes sold out. Amelia townhomes sold out. Landsdowne townhomes sold out.

And, now, Meadow Walk townhomes from Shea Homes are the final townhomes for sale at Bay Meadows. Just 5 of these homes remain available and we anticipate they’ll all be scooped up well before the end of the year.

OFFICE
SurveyMonkey moved into its new headquarters in Station 4 and was joined by subtenants Ten-X and Zuora. A few weeks ago, SurveyMonkey celebrated the opening of its rooftop garden. We’re sure you’ve seen the monkeys and their colleagues enjoying their new habitat.

Station 3 is receiving its finishing touches and OpenText will move into its offices there in a few weeks.

 

Station 2 broke ground and is available for lease.

 

 

OPEN SPACE
Town Square was completed earlier this year, with the installation of Jeppe Hein’s “Mirror Labyrinth NY – for California”

The Ping Pong Park and Front Porch, complete with swings, were unveiled a few weeks ago.
