Thank You for Celebrating Resident Appreciation Day with Us!

Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows, and on June 25, the Bozzuto leasing team had the pleasure of celebrating the people who make this neighborhood so special during their annual Resident Appreciation Day. From morning mimosas to evening Bingo, the day was filled with opportunities to relax, connect with neighbors, and enjoy everything that makes life at Bay Meadows unique. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and to our incredible neighborhood retail partners who helped make the celebration one to remember.

For Brian, The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows, Sr. General Manager: Resident Appreciation Day highlighted exactly what makes Bay Meadows feel like home. “RAD Day was a great reflection of the amazing sense of community we have here at Bay Meadows. It was wonderful getting to connect with residents throughout the day and see everyone enjoying the activities, food, and time spent with their neighbors. Seeing residents meet new people, share laughs, and make memories together was truly special. We also loved seeing our four-legged residents join in on the fun—pets are family too! Events like RAD Day highlight what makes Bay Meadows such a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.”

The festivities began in the leasing office, where residents stopped by throughout the day for a complimentary mimosa, sparkling apple cider, and a chance to mingle with neighbors. The fun continued poolside at The Russell, where residents cooled off with floaties, pool games, and plenty of sunshine, while families enjoyed the Resident Fun Zone complete with a bounce house, popcorn, and cotton candy between The Russell and Hawthorne. Throughout the day, our Bay Meadows retail community showed their appreciation in thoughtful ways. The Breakfast Club at Midtown San Mateo served complimentary pancakes and resident discounts, LFBA Studios welcomed residents to a complimentary Lagree class, Basecamp Fitness offered free classes and generous swag bags with two-week memberships for Bingo winners, Clayroom San Mateo invited residents to explore their creative side with discounted pottery classes, and our San Mateo neighbors from Beem Light Sauna introduced residents to complimentary red light therapy sessions in The Russell Clubroom.

The evening wrapped up with a lively Resident Appreciation Social in The Morgan Clubroom, where neighbors gathered around a build-your-own taco bar featuring chicken, beef, fresh toppings, chips and salsa, fruit and vegetable platters, and refreshments before settling in for several spirited rounds of Bingo and prize giveaways. For Leasing Manager Victoria, one moment perfectly captured the spirit of the evening. “One of my favorite moments from RAD Day was Bingo Night. It was so much fun watching residents laugh, cheer each other on, and connect with their neighbors. The sweetest moment was when a resident’s young daughter helped call out the bingo letters and numbers. She took her job so seriously, and it was absolutely adorable. Seeing everyone come together and create those little moments of joy is what made the event so special.”

Namrita reflected on the day’s bigger picture, sharing, “What stood out to me most about RAD Day was the incredible sense of community. It was amazing to see our residents, local vendors, and neighborhood partners all come together to create such a memorable experience. From complimentary treats and fitness classes to red light therapy, an interactive jump house, and a fun pool day, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. Events like this remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a vibrant and connected community.”

To everyone who attended, volunteered, partnered with us, or simply stopped by to say hello—thank you for making Resident Appreciation Day such a success. We can’t wait to celebrate with our residents again at our next community event!

Meet Victoria: Living the Bay Meadows Lifestyle, Every Day

At The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows, the leasing experience is shaped by people who truly understand the community. Let us introduce you to Victoria, our Assistant General Manager, who brings that perspective to life in a unique way. Not only does she help residents find their home, but she also calls Bay Meadows home herself.

Touring with Victoria means getting an insider’s view of the neighborhood, from Bay Meadows Blue Bottle Cafe barista favorites to hidden corners perfect for unwinding. She describes Bay Meadows in three words: friendly, connected, and comfortable, a reflection of both the design of the neighborhood and the people who live here.

Victoria moved to Bay Meadows with her one-year-old mini dachshund, Jude, who may be a bit timid at first but quickly wins over anyone he meets. It’s the kind of dog-friendly community where pets are part of daily life, with miles of walking trails, expansive parks, and alfresco dining spots that welcome four-legged companions. In fact, when browsing the nearby San Mateo Farmers Market, three things you’ll always find in her bag are fresh flowers, berries, and dog treats!

Days here often begin or end in Town Square, where she might be picking up an Original Açaí Bowl with almond butter at Sidewalk Juice or brunching at The Breakfast Club at Midtown San Mateo, where her go-to order is the Popeye Omelet paired with a mimosa flight. On weekends, you’ll often find Victoria at Fieldwork Brewing Company San Mateo enjoying a sour in the beer garden or heading out with friends to the nearby Off the Grid Foster City Night Market (insider tip: don’t miss the birria tacos when they’re available). For Victoria, it’s these everyday moments that define life at Bay Meadows, easy, social, and always close to home.

When asked what makes Bay Meadows special, Victoria points to the seamless blend of lifestyle and location.

“It’s the perfect blend of convenience and community. Everything you need is just steps away while still feeling like a welcoming place to call home.” That balance extends across The Apartment Collection, where thoughtfully designed residences meet a full suite of amenities and shared spaces. Some of my personal favorite shared spaces are the fitness centers and hot tub areas at select communities, they offer the perfect balance between staying active and relaxing, and residents enjoy having both options easily accessible.”

Explore the amenities by property here.

That same sense of connection carries through to the community itself. Victoria highlights resident events as one of her favorite ways to meet neighbors and build relationships. One standout experience included a recent paint-and-sip event in collaboration with Heart of Dinner, where residents decorated donation bags. “It was such a fun and creative experience, and it felt rewarding to be part of something that also gave back to the community,” she says. “It really brought people together in a meaningful way.”

Whether helping someone find their next home or simply enjoying a quiet night in with a good book, Victoria embodies the spirit of Bay Meadows, where thoughtful design and genuine community come together to create a cozy place that truly feels like home.

Meet Namrita: A New Face at The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows

The Bay Meadows Apartment Collection is excited to welcome Namrita, the newest Residential Manager to join the Bozzuto leasing team. New to the Bay Meadows community, Namrita brings a strong background in property management that has honed her ability to navigate complex transactions while anticipating the needs of residents and prospective renters alike. Known for her patience, exceptional listening skills, and clear communication style, she is a natural fit for the Bay Meadows team and the vibrant community it serves. When she’s exploring the neighborhood, you might find Namrita stopping by Blue Bottle Coffee in Bay Meadows Town Square for a 16oz hot matcha latte with almond milk and zero sugar or grabbing a refreshing strawberry almond smoothie from Sidewalk Juice.

Namrita’s creative side shines through in the small details that inspire her day-to-day life. A self-proclaimed fan of spoken word, she enjoys seeking out local open mic nights and discovering artists who bring powerful storytelling to the stage. Her curiosity also extends outdoors and into music, where she enjoys uncovering hidden gems—from scenic hiking trails to soulful jazz melodies. “Whether it’s finding a new hiking trail, a soulful jazz melody, or a beautiful spoken word verse,” she shares, “I’m inspired by the unseen things that make life feel rich and creative.”

When it comes to describing Bay Meadows itself, Namrita sums it up in three words:

Sophisticated. Vibrant. Welcoming.

Those qualities are exactly what make life at Bay Meadows so special. The community offers a rare blend of thoughtful design, social connection, and everyday convenience. One of her favorite places to bring neighbors together is the courtyard lounges across the Apartment Collection. “There is something about the view and the fresh air that makes it the perfect place to catch up with residents and enjoy the sunset,” she says. When Namrita isn’t working with the team or residents, she’s often outdoors enjoying the Peninsula lifestyle— “usually chasing the sun” on a scenic hike, spending a relaxing day at the beach, visiting a jazz lounge, or enjoying a cozy movie night with family.

That lifestyle is also exactly what today’s renters are searching for. According to Namrita, many prospective residents are prioritizing what she calls “lifestyle luxury.” “People want high-end finishes, but they also want a sense of place,” she explains. “Bay Meadows aligns perfectly by offering that sophisticated, modern aesthetic paired with walkable access to retail, green space, and social hubs that make every day feel like a getaway.” The neighborhood’s dog-friendly culture is another standout feature. With multiple parks within walking distance, it’s easy for pet owners to get outside and connect with neighbors. Namrita often recommends a stroll with your pup over to Hillsdale Shopping Center’s North Block where dogs can play and socialize while their owners enjoy the lively atmosphere nearby.

For Namrita, one park stands above the rest. “Bay Meadows Park is my absolute favorite,” she says. “I love spending time by the pond, and it’s my go-to spot for picnic days and playing soccer with my nephews. It really captures that community energy I love.” That same sense of community is what Namrita, and the entire Bay Meadows leasing team strive to bring to residents every day—helping newcomers feel at home while celebrating the vibrant lifestyle that makes Bay Meadows one of the Peninsula’s most welcoming places to live.

Lower Your Utility Bills at Bay Meadows: Smart Energy & Recycling Tips for Peninsula Living

Living at The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows means being part of one of the San Francisco Peninsula’s most thoughtfully planned neighborhoods—where sustainability and convenience go hand in hand. Located in the heart of San Mateo, Bay Meadows was designed with walkability, green space, and environmental stewardship in mind. Residents across all five communities—Field House, Quimby, The Russell, The Morgan, and Hawthorne—can enjoy modern homes in a neighborhood built to support a balanced, eco-friendly lifestyle. With a few simple habits at home, residents can reduce energy use, lower monthly utility bills, and contribute to the broader sustainability goals that define Bay Meadows.

One of the easiest ways to cut energy costs is by making small adjustments to everyday routines. Use natural light whenever possible before turning on lights, unplug electronics when not in use, and adjust thermostats slightly during the day to conserve energy while maintaining comfort. Running dishwashers and washing machines with full loads and using cold-water settings when possible can also reduce electricity use. Avoiding the peak, high-demand hours between 4-9PM (when electricity is most expensive) is also critical for saving money. At Bay Meadows communities, thoughtfully designed residences already support efficient living—making it even easier for residents to adopt simple habits that reduce environmental impact while saving money.

Decluttering is another powerful way to live sustainably. Reuse is the new recycle. Clearing out unused items not only frees up space but also allows residents to donate and upcycle responsibly. The City of San Mateo offers a helpful list of organizations that accept donations throughout the area, while the San Mateo County Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Guide provides information about where to donate items countywide. Residents can also participate in the popular Citywide Yard Sale each July, an excellent opportunity to give gently used items a second life. For larger or harder-to-dispose items, San Mateo hosts free residential recycling events at Beresford Park (2720 Alameda de las Pulgas) on May 30 and October 10, 2026, helping residents responsibly recycle items that may not fit into standard bins. Check the City of San Mateo calendar for event announcements and dates annually.

For materials that require special handling, San Mateo County offers free year-round Household Hazardous Waste disposal by appointment on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (excluding major holiday weekends). Residents can easily schedule a drop-off appointment here. Those looking to deepen their sustainability practices can also explore programs from the San Mateo County Sustainability Department, which hosts hands-on workshops and community events throughout the year. Compost workshops teach residents how to recycle kitchen scraps and plant waste—even in apartments—while Fixit Clinics provide tools and volunteer coaches who help repair electronics, appliances, toys, and other household items rather than sending them to landfills. Together, these resources make it easier for residents of The Apartment Collection at Bay Meadows to save money, reduce waste, and support the environmentally conscious spirit that defines this award-winning San Mateo neighborhood.
