Innovators and TV Stars? San Mateo’s got ’em!

When it comes to “innovation,” a company must stand out mightily in order to garner an award for that effort in Silicon Valley, the standard-bearer of innovation.

And so it was earlier this month when the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) crowned six companies as Innovators at its 2015 Awards of Excellence event. The city of San Mateo might have taken a prize, as well; it is headquarters for three of those award-winning firms.

Incidentally, San Mateo is buzzing with popularity lately. News hit this week that the city’s own Draper University will be featured in a prime-time reality TV show. And, on April 12th, viewers can tune in and watch the city’s own “38th Floor Bar” featured on the TV show “Bar Rescue.”

But, we digress. Bay Meadows wishes great success to the winners of this year’s SAMCEDA Awards:
