Next Office Building to Break Ground
Not only is San Mateo a hotbed of growing and established companies, Bay Meadows is becoming an innovation hub with more and more firms hanging their shingles near Town Square.
With SurveyMonkey, Ten-X and Zuora occupying Station 4 and OpenText set to move into Station 3 this fall, Bay Meadows is excited to announce it will break ground on its next office building, Station 2.
We can’t wait to see what company out there will be our new neighbor.
Zuora SVP Steve Umphreys explained why his company chose Bay Meadows for its new headquarters. “We sought out a location to exceed the expectations of our employees who wanted a place to deliver their best work; an open, bright environment, optimal ergonomic workspaces, and convenient access to a variety of restaurants,” Steve noted. “Not only does Bay Meadows meet those needs, our employees now have better commute options, including bicycle storage, electric car charging stations, and a short walk to the Hillsdale Caltrain Station.”
Station 2 is the third of five planned Class A office buildings to be built at our urban village. Bay Meadows Stations 1 through 5, all designed by HOK Architects, comprise a total 780,000 square-feet of office space. Station 2 offers 189,000 square feet of Class A office space and will be available for occupancy in year-end 2018.
Some employees who work at Bay Meadows have also decided to move in. Among Bay Meadows’ new residents are employees with a five-minute commute. Jennifer is an engineer at SurveyMonkey who recently moved into The Russell who is particularly excited about Blue Bottle Coffee’s summer opening. “Blue Bottle Coffee was definitely a big attraction for moving here. I love Blue Bottle, not just for their coffee, but their waffles are amazing.”
