We are excited for another delicious addition to Bay Meadows! ROAM will arrive at 3081 Delaware Street in September.

Hello picnics and plenty of acres to ROAM. Sharing a meal with ROAM means sharing their commitment to the land. They offer nutrient rich proteins, seasonal produce from local farms, house-made artisan sodas and organic creamery shakes. All with a focus on sustainability and improving the health of our planet and our communities. Whether you are dining with a group of friends, family, or solo, ROAM welcomes you with open arms in a welcoming, spirited environment where everyone can enjoy food that they can feel good about eating.

It takes quality ingredients to create quality food. ROAM sources from purveyors they know and trust. ROAM shares a bit about their local ranchers, farmers and artisans who share a passion for doing things right:

Proteins are nutrient-rich and sourced from ranchers and farmers dedicated to traditional methods of agriculture.

100% Grass-Fed Beef.  ROAM sources 100% grass-fed beef from 4K Ranch, which raises cattle on green, open pastures in Montana. The cows live their entire lives grazing on grasslands, free of stress, focusing just on being cows. Natural grazing promotes soil and water conservation and reduces pollution. A grass-grazing diet creates more flavorful meat that is high in Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin E and lower in saturated fat and calories than conventionally raised beef. No hormones or antibiotics are ever given.

Free-Range Turkey. Diestel Family Turkey Ranch raises all-natural turkeys that live holistically and enrich their surrounding ecology. The turkeys get plenty of fresh air and are free to roam and peck both indoors and outdoors. Each bird is allowed to grow slowly (almost twice as long as conventional birds) which means that they can develop premium texture and flavor naturally. Turkeys are fed a premium diet and never given animal by-products, antibiotics or hormones.

Elk & Wild Boar. Durham Ranch knows what it takes to raise quality animals sustainably. ROAM partners with them on a seasonal basis to supply us with elk and wild boar.  Elk graze on lush, nutrient-rich pastureland and Wild boar feed on acorns and brush.  These diets enhance the leanness and sweet, nutty, robust flavor of the meat. No vitamin supplements, growth promoters or antibiotics are given.

Pasture-Raised Bison. Colorado’s Great Range all-natural bison is raised sustainably on lush pastures in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The animals are not domesticated and spend their entire lives grazing on pesticide-free grasslands, creating nutrient-dense meat which is naturally lean and robust in flavor. Amino acids are the building blocks for protein, and bison delivers essential amino acids that our bodies need. The animals are never given antibiotics, chemicals or hormones.

Artisan Buns. Buns are baked fresh daily by a local artisan baker.

Since 1978, Pacific Coast Baking Company has been creating outstanding artisan bakery products. Led by “Wild Bill”, the bakery produces fresh bread from scratch every day.

Organic Dairy. ROAM sources organic dairy from Straus Family Creamery, a pioneering family farm committed to sustainable, environmentally forward practices. All dairy cows are milked morning and afternoon, and spend the rest of the day out on pasture. The cows are fed a balanced, vegetarian diet consisting of fresh pasture grasses, silage and hay, as well as feeds that are 100% certified organic and Verified Non-GMO. The animals are never treated with hormones or antibiotics.

Fair Trade Coffee. Born in Portland, Oregon, Stumptown Coffee Roasters has been at the forefront of the “third wave” of coffee, in which cultivation, roasting and brewing dominate. Recognized for its sustainable, fair-trade ethos along with its bracing beans, Stumptown works to improve coffee by offering incentives to farmers for growing better, cleaner crops.

On the Menu:

Burgers. The ROAM burger menu starts by choosing your style, including the Classic, French and Fries with Truffle Parmesan Fries, Gruyère, Avocado, Caramelized Onions, Watercress, Piquant Sauce , Whole Grain Mustard, Tejano, Sunny Side, Heritage, Chalet, Pacific Blue, BBQ and Seasonal. Add your patty (beef, turkey, bison, veggie or elk), top it with a variety of sauces and artisan toppings.

Sides and Salads. Fresh veggies are plentiful with either the Farmers Market or Mini Market Salad as well as a Seasonal Veggie option. Fries? Oh yes…they have russet fries, sweet potato fries, zucchini onion haystack, or the Fry-Fecta with all three options! You can also add your own custom seasonings including Truffle Parmesan, Chipotle Maple and seasonal Dill Malt Vinegar.

Drinks. ROAM serves up Artisan Sodas, bottles sodas, iced tea, kombucha, beer & wine and of course shakes made with organic ice cream in several delicious flavors including coconut, salted caramel, Stumptown coffee, just to mention a few.

Kids. Can’t forget the kids! ROAM features a burger or grilled cheese combo served with fries or carrots & cucumbers plus a drink. Order to go and make a picnic of it with an instant play area for the kiddos in one of the many parks at Bay Meadows! Summertime was made for grilling but you can skip the grill and just ROAM instead.

Creating an environmentally-sound restaurant, with energy-efficient appliances, power-conscious LED lighting and reclaimed wood, ROAM is a place that stands behind their commitment. Did we mention they run a state-of-the art recycling and composting program? Food scraps and to-go ware are composted and converted into fertilizer, which is used to grow more food! Delaware Street was carefully designed with angled parking and large landscaped walkways to create a walkable and inviting experience that is highlighted by our large Town Square.
