Neighbors Spend Sundays at Bay Meadows

The Family that shops together … and exercises together … and plays in the Mirror Labyrinth together … well, you know where we’re going with this.

Let us introduce you to one of our neighborhood families that not only SHOPS weekly at the Farmers Market Bay Meadows, but also exercises every Sunday at LIFT.

Lauren Bottani is all about engaging in her local community.

Lauren teaches Kindergarten at Beresford Elementary School. She grew up in San Mateo and returned to the City after getting her degree at UC Davis, where she met her husband. The couple lives in Beresford Park neighborhood with their two kids.

The family literally stumbled upon Farmers Market Bay Meadows recently after departing the Sunday 8:15 workout class at LIFT. “We go to LIFT for the Bike and Barre classes – just leave the kids at the childcare there, which is so convenient, and get our workout in.”

Three things we’d definitely find in Lauren’s farmer’s market bag?

  • Pita Chips
  • Hummus
  • Fruit

With Lauren’s kids aged 2-1/2 and almost 6 years-old, the simpler the better. She said the produce from the Farmers Market has allowed them to simplify their meals – a weeknight meal of stir-fried veggies with hummus and pita chips is delicious, healthy and easy.

In addition to LIFT and the Farmers Market, Lauren and her family also enjoy Blue Bottle and an occasional visit to Tin Pot Creamery. “We’re really excited for Roam Burgers.” And her kids love playing on the swings and in the Mirror Labyrinth.

“We’re really excited that [Bay Meadows] is here and we’re loving that it’s growing. It’s a cute little area and we really enjoy it!”
