Meet Lauren, Leasing Professional at Bay Meadows Apartment Collection

Lauren Jackson spends her days helping people find their next home at Bay Meadows. She’s one of the newest members to our Bay Meadows Apartment Collection team and in her first month alone, she was responsible for leasing 8 apartments in our neighborhood.

Bay Meadows is so conveniently located! After recently moving to the area, I am astounded to find that I can walk to almost everything I could want – especially parks, shopping, and great food – there’s even a Blue Bottle Cafe located in Town Square where I can order my favorite latte made with Hayes Valley Espresso. Combined with mild weather, and proximity to commute routes, it makes for a wonderful place to call home.”  Having lived most of her life in Texas and moving to California about 7 years ago it makes sense that Lauren’s favorite quote is “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” – Mark Twain

If you are wondering about the differences between Bay Meadows’ Apartment Communities, Lauren explains: “Although Russell and Quimby are similar, being built at the same time, Quimby is set apart by its smaller size, intimate and nature-filled courtyard. Russell is larger, with a great pool, sizeable lounge space, and uptown vibe. Field House is set apart by the townhome feel of most of its apartments, and the seamless merge of amenities and living space.”

Quimby San Mateo Lobby

Inspired by clever and efficient design, Lauren’s favorite of the three is Quimby with its “elegant and eye-catching lobby“.

Quimby Living Room

Quimby is my personal favorite, although all are strong contenders. It has such a great blend of modern design, and homey-touches. I also love how you feel secluded in the courtyard, and how quiet the building is. In today’s market, renters are looking for a place where working from home doesn’t make you feel trapped!  Also on the list are light finishes, space for desks, and safe outdoor spaces to get some fresh air.”

.We asked Lauren what she feels are three things that make living at Bay Meadows Apartment Collection stand-apart from the crowd, she answered:

Unparalleled walkability (think Caltrain, Hillsdale, Whole Foods, Bay Meadows Park) and accessibility (close to 92 and downtown San Mateo, 20 min drive from Half-Moon Bay)

Clean, natural finishes. So many apartment homes are finished in stark black and white, or have drab beige walls. I love how the natural wood is complemented by the soft colors and light finishes of Bay Meadows.

Community amenities (Included you’ll find assigned parking, pool, spa, dog-wash, bike storage, firepits, etc.)

When not at work, you’ll find Lauren spending time outside or indoors with her cat named Cloud (a fluffy, mischievous 1 yr old who’s too smart for his own good), reading or baking. In fact, baking bread! is her newest secret indulgence. “I like learning about bread from other cultures, and am currently perfecting my shokupan.”

Conveniently located between San Francisco and Palo Alto in San Mateo, Bay Meadows offers housing within walking distance of Caltrain. Ease of transportation is only one reason you’ll fall in love with Bay Meadows. Smartly-designed, high-quality new homes sit among 18 acres of open space, which includes parks, a community garden, public art, ball fields, bocce and basketball courts and a new playground. All this just a walk from Whole Foods, Blue Bottle Coffee, ROAM Artisan Burgers, Fieldwork Brewing Co., LIFT Fitness, Tin Pot Creamery, Bamboo Asia, Hillsdale Shopping Center and more.
