March into May with a full agenda! Celebrate the spring season with hikes, yoga, biking fun and much, much more at Bay Meadows and beyond. May 1, Hidden Canyon Hike. Take a 1 hour guided open space hike to learn all about the native and invasive plants of Waterdog Lake Open Space in Belmont.

May 1, Hillsdale Mall Lululemon Yoga Event. Lululemon Hillsdale Mall is hosting a Yoga event from 10am to 11am. Make sure to RVSP to guarantee you a spot for our event.

May 1, Pruning Camellias in Central Park. An outside demonstration for pruning camellias will be given at the San Mateo Arboretum Society. Time will be given for participants to help prune the camellias in the park.

May 3, San Mateo Farmers’ Market. Come enjoy live music, delicious food, and fresh produce in a fun outdoor environment with friends and neighbors.

May 5, Cinco de Mayo Fiesta. Join a hands-on mixology experience hosted by Pao Maldonado from Pao Craft Cocktails in Redwood City. You will learn to create your very own margarita flight and more.

May 6, First Friday Nights. Swing into the weekend with music, science, animals and fun! On the first Friday of every month, from 5 pm until 8 pm, where parents and kids celebrate together at CuriOdyssey.

May 10, 17, 24, 31, Yoga in the Bungalow. This one-hour class in Redwood City is intended to increase your flexibility, strength and balance.

May 12, Live Music at MidiCi. Enjoy a night of live music from the Peninsula Jazz Cats and delicious Italian cuisine at the Hillsdale Mall.

May 14, Hungarian Heritage Festival. Experience the tastes, sights, and sounds of Hungary in Belmont and see what makes Hungarian culture truly unique.

May 15, Half Moon Bay Wine & Jazz Festival. The festival features California wineries, nationally-known jazz artists, and local eats – all on Half Moon Bay’s charming and historic Main Street.

May 18, Party Cake. Join Baking Arts and learn proper technique to level and split cakes evenly, apply buttercream smoothly, and cold carve buttercream to give flawless surfaces and crisp, sharp edges.

May 20- 22, Bike to Wherever Days! Visit an Energizer Station to get your BTWD bag! But you must Pledge to Ride before going.

May 21, Hike & Meditation in Edgewood Park. Hike in the beautiful Edgewood Park & Natural Preserve in redwood City, enjoy the calmness of nature, and meditate together in the fresh spring air.

May 22, Kids’ Carnival. Join the excitement with aircraft checkouts, cockpit exploration, glider and helicopter construction and more at the Hiller in San Carlos.

May 27, Bike Bash! Redwood City. Come as you are and enjoy food, beverages and merriment with your fellow bike commuters at Sports Basement – Redwood City.

May Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities including jogging, bicycling, hiking, roller-skating, and walking.
