Clayroom San Mateo Holds a Silent Auction Hurricane Helene Benefit on Oct 19

Save the Date! Clayroom San Mateo at Bay Meadows will be hosting a Silent Auction on Saturday 10/19 from 6-8PM to help those affected by Hurricane Helene. ALL proceeds will be donated to the Craft Emergency Relief Fund (CERF+). For 40 years, the Craft Emergency Relief Fund has provided emergency relief for craft artists. Building educational resources to empower craft artists to prepare for, navigate and thrive in the wake of emergencies and disasters, CERF+ remains a dedicated partner and advocate for craft artists and the craft community.

RSVP Here.

Western North Carolina is home to more ceramic artists per capita than anywhere else in the country. Many of these artists and pottery businesses (Mudtools) have lost their entire studios which have taken them many years to build and develop. This devastation will have a lasting impact on the ceramic arts community.

Clayroom San Mateo’s silent auction will feature artwork from our local ceramics community and even some out of state artisans. Private lessons with our expert instructors will also be available for bidding. Purchase your holiday gift items ahead of the season and help benefit those in need.

Auction opens at 6PM and closes at 7:30PM, light refreshments will be offered. Want to contribute? Guests are encouraged to bring wine, beer or soda and/or cups for guests to enjoy.

Help spread the word! Hop on Facebook, mark ‘Interested’ on our event and invite friends to this worthy-cause. After shopping the Silent Auction, spill into Bay Meadows’ Town Square for a bite at ROAM Artisan Burgers or Fieldwork Brewing Beer Garden, and don’t forget to treat yourself to a scoop at Humphry Slocombe.
