Bay Meadows

A pandemic in 2020, now dinosaurs in 2021! The joy these creatures bring is certainly not extinct. Travel back 65 million years to discover pre-historic life at Jurassic Weekend at Hillsdale Shopping Center adjacent to Bay Meadows in San Mateo. It’s all happening Saturday and Sunday, September 11th and 12th from 11am – 4pm, on the North Block Outdoor Plaza. Pick up lunch from one of the many restaurants at Hillsdale which include Belcampo, The Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack, MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company, Palette Tea Garden or California Pizza Kitchen, and enjoy the vibrant entertainment scene. Guests are invited to learn about the different dinosaurs found in North America, geological time periods, how dinosaurs adapted to their environments and scientific research methods. Enjoy the engaging audience participation “Dino Encounter” shows, designed for kids of all ages. Interact with life size, realistic dinosaur puppets, pose for photo ops and experience simulated excavation digs.
