August 3, Reimagine Hillsdale Site Walk Tour. Get to know the neighborhood and share your ideas for how to make Hillsdale Shopping Center even better in this interactive walk through the streets and neighborhoods.

August 4 + 11, Central Park Music Series. Head to Central Park in San Mateo from 6:00-8:00pm.

August 5, First Friday Nights. Swing into the weekend with music, science, animals and fun! On the first Friday of every month, from 5 pm until 8 pm, where parents and kids celebrate together at CuriOdyssey.

August 5, Pinstripes Summer BBQ Series. Head to the Pinstripes patio for an all you can eat and drink party featuring Sierra Nevada who will be pouring a collection of their beers and music by Eric Prosch.

August 6 + 12, Stand Up Comedy at Bobabia. Live stand comedy right in downtown San Mateo! Watch some of the best stand up comedians in the Bay and beyond! Doors @7pm/Showtime 7:30pm.

August 6, Pub In the Park. Imagine a leisurely summer afternoon, lounging in a park, while listening to live bluegrass music, sipping delicious local brews, and enjoying lawn games in Redwood City.

August 6, Zane Lamprey Comedy Tour. Zane Lamprey’s comedy tour is a NEW comedy tour in 2022 at Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company in San Carlos.

August 13, Shakespeare in the Park. San Francisco Shakespeare Festival brings its production for 3 weekends, from August 13 through August 28 to Redwood City, and offers shows on both Saturdays and Sundays.

August 13, Planes, Trains & Cool Cars! Come check out unique aircraft, steam trains and Lionel O scale model trains and cool cars at the Hiller in San Carlos.

August 13, Candle Making Workshop. Learn the art of candle making and join us for a workshop to create your own 100% soy wax candle in San Mateo.

August 14, 21 + 28, Stand-Up Sundays Comedy Series Comes to Hillsdale. For 3 consecutive Sundays (August 14, 21 & 28 – from 2-3pm), an opening act and headliner will fill your afternoon with laughter bringing a different wit and hilarity each week at our neighboring Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo.

August 17, Grapes & Giggles Comedy Show. Stand-up comedy at the iconic Domenico winery in San Carlos. You no longer have to travel to Napa or San Francisco for an amazing experience.

August 18, Night at the Green Music Series. Join Par3 in San Mateo for beautiful night filled with music, dancing, great food and drinks.

August 19, Movie Night @Twin Pines Park. Enjoy movies in the park as you watch Encanto in Belmont.

August 20, Biscuits and Scones. Every student is this class will make their own batch of biscuit dough from scratch in class at Baking Arts.

August 21, Kids Carnival. Aircraft checkouts, cockpit exploration, glider and helicopter construction and more are just some of the activities available at each Hiller Kids’ Carnival in San Carlos.

August 24, Morning Yoga in the Bungalow. This one hour class is intended to increase your flexibility, strength and balance. Located in Redwood City.

August 26, Movie Night @McDougal Park. Enjoy movies in the park as you watch Luca in Belmont.

August 27, Gentle Yoga in the Park. This class in Washington Park in Burlingame is ideal for beginning students and experienced practitioners.

August 30, Silicon Gulch Jazz Band. Silicon Gulch Jazz Band is a six piece jazz band playing New Orleans style jazz. Come enjoy the great food, drinks and music at the Swingin’ Door in San Mateo.

Wednesdays in August, Music in the Park. Redwood City is offering free music for TEN full weeks throughout the summer! Through August 24.

Thursday in August, Movies on the Square. Enjoy Downtown Redwood City on Courthouse Square by bringing the family out to a free movie through September 1.

Fridays in August, Music on the Square. Redwood City is bringing you FREE music for FOURTEEN weeks throughout the summer on Friday evenings from 6 to 8 pm. Through September 2.

August Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities.

Experience Midurban life. Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of open space to enjoy all-year long.
