Meet the Fabulous ladies of Brightside

Meet the fabulous ladies of Brightside: Shara, Selena and Shannon. All three ladies and their spouses moved into Brightside within the same month. Not only did they win their top pick homes at the Shea Homes release, they were also extra lucky to get to live next door to one another! This fabulous trio can be found frequenting many cool events at Bay Meadows.  Here’s what they had to say about living at Bay Meadows:

What brought you to Bay Meadows?

We were all shopping for a house around the same time and collectively shared the same love of the location, sense of community and the fact that the homes are brand new. Great minds think alike!

How did you meet?

We were all introduced to one another in the Shea Sales Gallery after purchasing our homes and after hitting it off, discovered that we were all going to be neighbors—literally a door step away!

What are some of your favorite spots in San Mateo?

There are too many to choose from, but some favorites include: B Street and Vine, China B, Little Sheep, and Ramen Dojo and Philz!

What type of things do you do together?

We are all members of the community garden and often spend our Saturday mornings tending to our plots and harvesting (and sharing!) our bounty.   We also love hopping on our Public Bikes to do local shopping at Whole Foods or going for a longer ride to downtown San Mateo for a cup of joe at Philz.

Over the last several months, these ladies have also partaken in Momdays, Twilight Tails, Zumba, and DigIt workshops just to name a few!

What are some of the amenities you enjoy at Bay Meadows and what other types of events would you like to have?

We love everything, especially hanging out with neighbors (#tripleSthreat) and lounging in Persimmon Park. A highlight this week for Sharon in particular was harvesting 20 tomatoes this week alone!

Selena and Trooper

What are a few words you’d use to describe San Mateo? Diverse, great weather, “cool” (the Mat is where it’s all!), foodie-paradise, convenient, fun, friendly, forever-growing.

Apps they can’t live without: Instagram, Yelp, Sleep Cycle

Favorite Home technology: Touch faucets, keyless entry, Airplay

Two of these ladies are on the Bay Meadows Social Committee already planning our Halloween and Holiday events.

Shara and her Public Bike

Let’s welcome this fabulous trio to Bay Meadows!

Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of green space to enjoy all year long. Whether its growing your own vegetables in a gorgeous community garden with our resident gardener, playing a game of pick-up basketball after work, team building over bocce and beers, or checking out Dig it every first Saturday of the month. There’s no shortage of green space to explore.
