Bicycle Sundays. A 3.8-mile segment of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail is closed between the Filoli entrance and Highway 92 allowing for non-motorized activities.

January 1, New Year’s Day Brunch. Start the new year off with the newly upgraded Sunday Brunch Buffet!

January 1-16, IlluminOdyssey. Electrify your child’s imagination at CuriOdyssey’s spectacular light exhibition.

January 3, Yoga in the Bungalow – Redwood City. This one hour class is intended to increase your flexibility, strength and balance.

January 8, Rose Pruning Seminar. San Mateo Arboretum Society rose garden volunteer, Archana, will teach you how to shape your rose bushes to encourage beautiful profuse flowering with winter pruning and winter proper care.

January 15, Kids’ Carnival. Aircraft checkouts, cockpit exploration, glider and helicopter construction and more are just some of the activities available at each Kids’ Carnival at Hiller in San Carlos.

January 25, Baking Arts in San Mateo presents an in-person class on Drip Cake which is designed for the beginning cake decorator and those wanting to perfect their buttercream skills.

January 29, Helicopter Adventure at Hiller Aviation in San Carlos. Join an intro to the development of rotary-wing aircraft and explanation of the parts of the helicopter using a real Scorpion aircraft.

January 29, Afternoon Hike at Mindego Hill. Join Peninsula Open Space Trust for a beautiful 5-mile hike from the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve to the top of the POST-protected Mindego Hill.
