Get ready to celebrate the country’s independence and rock your red, white and blue with these creative culinary recipes made for the big day.  If you plan on spending the day playing your favorite board game or badminton in one of our many pocket parks and want to get a head start, you can also order your spread from ROAM at Bay Meadows for pick-up or delivery right here. Plan ahead! Fieldwork Brewing San Mateo has fresh beer “to go” is available in 16 oz cans, growlers, and 32 oz Crowlers.

Turn the heat up with ROAM’s Fried Chicken Sandwich this summer topped off with Serrano Green Chili Sauce, and add some Cucumber & Herb Ranch to cool it down a little!

Don’t forget to add a bruléed marshmallow on top of your chocolate shake or head to Humphry Slocombe for the fixing to create some summertime sundae inspiration like this Smoked S’mores Sundae!

Sips:

Strawberry-Rose Agua Fresca. This refreshing beverage makes the most of peak-of-the-season strawberries.

Red White and Blue Sangria (Patriotic Punch).  Made with watermelon, blueberries and white grapes, this patriotic sangria adds the perfect blend of red, white and blue to your 4^th of July bash, and is super easy to make.

Shirley Temples. The nostalgic classic never goes out of the style.

Simple Starters:

Corn Salsa. A rainbow of bright flavors and textures that will pair well with any main you’re serving up this holiday. As a bonus, pile it on your burgers!

Red, White, and Blue Salad. Juicy watermelon, sweet bursts of blueberries and crunchy jicama dressed with a simple honey and lime dressing make this salad a favorite all summer long.

Avocado Potato Salad. Everything we love about traditional potato salad but without the greasy mayo. Instead, this flavorful side uses Greek yogurt to lighten things up.

Bloody-Mary Tomato Salad. Let your favorite heirloom tomatoes shine in this bright this cocktail-inspired salad.

Crispy Farro and Tomato Salad. For a whole new summer grain salad experience, broil farro until it’s crackly and crispy, toss with parsley, parmesan, and lemon zest, then scatter over the ripest, juiciest tomatoes you have.
