Meet our Residents at Bay Meadows
Linda & Russ moved in this past February and couldn’t be more pleased with their home at the Canterbury Community at Bay Meadows. They decided to sell their home in the Belmont Hills for a more urban lifestyle at Bay Meadows.
Here’s what they had to say when I had the chance to catch up with them about their new home.
What amenity most excites you about life at Bay Meadows and why?
The community dining table! It captures the essence of what we sought in a new place to live: a neighborhood that is convenient and conducive to an outdoor life, a social community where you can gather with new and old friends, and an aesthetically stunning, pleasing and well planned environment.
What are the 3 reasons you chose to make Bay Meadows your home:
We love that Bay Meadows is a walkable, transit-oriented environment. We also love the conveniences of restaurants, shopping, services, trails and parks. It’s a truly contemporary, well planned community.
Describe the moment you knew it was home:
The grand opening of Persimmon Park. It was that beautiful table, set with incredible food and flowers and people meeting one another and enjoying life. Yes! This is what life should be about!
3 words you would use to describe Bay Meadows
Environmentally conscientious planned environment; Transit-oriented; Community-building
Favorite home technology trend:
The smart home concept! We have bought into all of it: iPhone controlled lighting, shades, thermostat, video cam doorbells, and door locks! Yes, we play with the latest technology!
Favorite way to spend a Sunday afternoon together:
At the golf course, driving range, riding bikes, walking. Just anything outdoors! Of course, Sunday night is always gourmet night!
Bay Meadows is a family-friendly neighborhood with lots of green space to enjoy all year long. Whether its growing your own vegetables in a gorgeous community garden with expert guidance, playing a game of pick-up basketball after work, team building over bocce and beers, or picnicking with friends and family on warm summer nights for Movies in the Meadow, there’s no shortage of green space to explore. If you have little ones, don’t miss Momdays on Mondays in Paddock Park!
