Welcome Back Hillsdale!
The Hillsdale Shopping Center in San Mateo is has officially reopened on Monday, August 31st with Macy’s and Nordstrom open as well as more than 50 other retailers. Adjacent to Bay Meadows neighborhood, Hillsdale serves as a natural community extension and amenity for many of our residents and visitors. We’re thrilled to have them re-open their doors!
The center welcomes back customers for the first time in more than 3 weeks pursuant to the State of California’s new “Blueprint for a Safer Economy” guidelines. Center hours are Monday – Saturday, 11am to 7pm and Sunday, 11am to 6pm. Hours vary per store.
“The health and safety of our guests and our community is our top priority, and we have been working closely with our retailers and with local health officials to ensure a clean, safe shopping environment for our customers, tenants and employees,” said Larry Ivich, General Manager of Hillsdale Shopping Center. “We are looking forward to providing the best experience possible for our shoppers as we come together once again.”
In addition to opening at 25 percent capacity per current health orders, Hillsdale Shopping Center continues to follow all protocols in working with local officials to ensure the health and safety of patrons and staff. Enhanced protocols at Hillsdale include:
– Customer screening stations at shopping center entrances, where Hillsdale will manage traffic flow and occupancy limitations, and will provide facial masks and sanitizer for shoppers;
– Hand cleaning dispensers are placed throughout the shopping center, with an enhanced sanitization focus on high-touch areas such as restrooms, dining areas, escalators, elevators and water fountains;
– Common area seating is spaced for social distancing, and guest waiting areas outside individual stores are clearly marked to assist with capacity management;
– Clear and direct signage for all safety and health protocols is posted at each entrance to remind customers of their obligations around self-screening, risk assessment and preventive measures, and to encourage customers to respect and follow social distancing protocols.
Hillsdale will continue to offer its curbside merchandise pickup program daily from 11am-5pm. After placing their order online or via telephone, guests participating in curbside pickup are instructed to drive to their pre-designated curbside pickup zone, remain in their vehicle, and text the store so an associate can bring their purchase to them.
