Celebrate SF Beer Week Feb 9-18 at Bay Meadows’ Fieldwork Brewing Beer Garden

SF Beer Week returns February 9-18 with a collection of curated events celebrating craft beer, the craft community and the Bay Area’s creative spirit. Located within the Bay Meadows neighborhood in San Mateo, Fieldwork Brewing Company is participating!

The taproom will be hosting a Blind Flight Tasting Challenge during Beer Week, where guests will be given a predetermined flight of 6 single-hop beers with a flight card to mark guesses. When a guest guesses all the beers correctly, they’ll win a Fieldwork shirt!

When you visit the taproom can expect an ever-changing tap list of fresh releases to enjoy by sampler flight or beer by the glass. Fresh beer “to go” is available in 16 oz cans, growlers, and 32 oz Crowlers. A variety of seasonal house beer blends may be paired with creative snacks and menu items, in an outdoor industrial setting.

On February 13th head to the beer garden from 5-8pm to catch an All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Party Pay just $10 for all you can eat Detroit-style pizza!

What’s Detroit-style pizza? According to the entire internet: It all started in 1946 in Detroit at Buddy’s pizza. Detroit-style pizza is defined as a deep-dish rectangular pizza topped with Wisconsin brick cheese and is cooked with two strips of thick cooked tomato sauce on top of the cheese. The dough typically has a hydration level of 70 percent or higher, which creates an open, porous, chewy crust with a crisp exterior. The edges have a caramelized crispy cheese texture similar to a grilled-cheese. You Tube has a video of the entire history here.

At Fieldwork Brewing Company San Mateo, well behaved adults, children and dogs are always welcome! There are heat lamps and firepits, traditional garden tables, booth seating and bocce courts too!  So round up your gang and spend some time with neighbors and friends in Bay Meadows central gathering spot at 3030 S Delaware Street, where not everyone will know you name, but you are sure to see some familiar faces around the neighborhood!
