Hillsdale Shopping Center Releases NEW Podcast Series
In an ever-evolving environment, it’s great to gain insight and learn more about the future of retail centers, especially when your neighbor is one of the Bay Area’s premiere shopping destinations offering a unique blend of luxury and lifestyle retailers, dining and entertainment. Shopping Centers have turned into destinations becoming increasingly social, and furthering connections to their local communities with experiential design and events. The pivot has been an intentional one, as online shopping began to reign and foot traffic waned. On the heels of announcing further redevelopment plans to increase height and use in the main mall area and south block of Trader Joe’s and Barnes and Noble, Hillsdale Shopping Center has recently announced a new podcast series for listeners interested in an insider’s look behind the scenes of this transformation, and stories of the leaders and innovations at the forefront of our changing world.
In 2021, Hillsdale Shopping Center celebrated a new partnership with global real estate firm Northwood Investors to both manage the shopping center and to help re-imagine the 47-acre property’s future in partnership with the San Mateo community. The 2 new podcasts: Backstory Beginnings and Backstory & Beyond, which may listened to directly here, are brough to you by Hillsdale’s Nordwood partners:
BACKSTORY BEGINNINGS
Backstory Beginnings is described as a podcast of short business origin stories with big takeaways. Listen and be inspired by the incredible stories of homegrown creators, movers, and shakers, who are making their mark with meaningful missions, fresh fashions, and next-level sips and bites. Snag pearls of wisdom from visionary founders and leaders.
BACKSTORY & BEYOND
Here, seeker, tastemaker, and innovator – Ward Kampf, President of Northwood Retail, connects with trailblazing founders and business leaders on their beginnings, paths to expansion, pushing the limits, and what’s next.
